About the tour
According to the catalogue, the İğneada Longoz Forests are one of the few alluvial forests in Türkiye with longoz (floodplain forest) characteristics. The programme includes a walk in this forest.
As a social responsibility activity, birdhouses are made in the hotel garden and hung on trees in the forest. At Lake Mert there is horse riding, canoeing, pedal boats and obstacle course activities.

İğneada Longoz Forests
Flooded forests in the Demirköy district of Kırklareli, on the Black Sea-facing slopes of the Istranca (Strandzha) Mountains; they were declared a national park in 2007. With trees such as ash, oak and alder, these forests are under water during the rainy season and are counted among the few remaining examples of alluvial forest in Europe.
Lake Mert
One of the lakes within İğneada Longoz Forests National Park. Surrounded by reeds and forest, the lake has canoe routes across the water and along its channels.
İğneada Lighthouse
At the tip of a cape reaching into the Black Sea near Limanköy, about 8 km south of the Bulgarian border. The station was established in 1866; the first lighthouse, built by French engineers, was demolished in 1903, and the present structure dates from 1913. Locals also call it the "French Lighthouse".
Silivri
A district of Istanbul on the Sea of Marmara; the town, known in antiquity as Selymbria, was founded as a colony of Megara. With about 45 km of coastline, it is a summer retreat for Istanbul residents. West of the town is the stone bridge built by Mimar Sinan in 1562 on the orders of Suleiman the Magnificent.
