Maşukiye
A settlement in the Kartepe district of Kocaeli, on the slopes of Kartepe near Lake Sapanca. It is known for the small waterfalls formed by the Yayla Stream, its wooded walking areas and its trout restaurants.
Abant Lake
A landslide-dammed lake about 34 km southwest of Bolu, at an altitude of 1,328 m. Its surroundings were protected as a nature park in 1988 and declared Türkiye's 48th national park in 2022. It is known for the walking trail around the lake and its forest views.
Lake Gölcük
A small lake about 13 km south of Bolu city centre, at an altitude of 1,217 m; it was created as an artificial reservoir in 1958. Its surroundings were declared a nature park in 2011, with walking and cycling paths and picnic areas.
