A winter programme in Kars: skiing on pistes among Scots pine forests, Ani and frozen Lake Çıldır.
The price is prepared according to your dates, group size and preferences.

You fly to Kars and stay in Sarıkamış; the Cıbıltepe pistes wind through Scots pine forests.
On the third day you can visit the Ani archaeological site and Kars city centre if you wish; if the weather allows, there is a horse-drawn sleigh ride on Lake Çıldır.
Send us your dates and group size for Sarıkamış and we will tailor the programme to your group.
The day-by-day itinerary below is a sample programme; the final programme is shared with the quote, together with dates and flights.
This is a sample programme. Ski days depend on snow and piste conditions, and travel times on the date; both are confirmed with the quote. Transport: return flights Istanbul–Kars and transfers (some programmes combine this with the Touristic Eastern Express between Ankara and Kars)
The pistes run through Scots pine forests, and the resort is known for its 'crystal snow' because of its dry, light snow. Depending on snow, the season can last until late March.
This medieval city about 42 km from Kars was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2016. An important trading centre on the Silk Road, it has remains of religious, military and civil buildings.
Lying between the provinces of Kars and Ardahan at an altitude of about 1,959 metres, the lake freezes in winter. Its frozen surface is known for horse-drawn sleigh rides.

The catalogue has no separate list of included services for this tour. The scope of transport, accommodation, guiding and meals is set out in writing in the quote.
December – March (until mid-April, depending on snow)
Yes. Most ski resorts have slopes suitable for beginners and ski/snowboard schools. Lessons, equipment and ski passes are generally not included in the tour price and are purchased separately; those who do not want to ski can spend their time on snow walks, sledging or local sightseeing.
It is not required; ski resorts have rental points for skis, snowboards, poles, boots and helmets. Rental equipment is usually not included in the tour. We recommend bringing personal clothing such as a waterproof jacket and trousers, gloves, thermal underwear, a hat and sunglasses.
No. The amount of snow and the opening and closing dates of the slopes vary each year depending on the weather; although some resorts support this with artificial snowmaking, natural snowfall is the deciding factor. We recommend following the resort's current snow and slope conditions before you travel.
