About the tour
The tour begins with Al Fahidi, Dubai's old quarter, and Dubai Creek, and continues with Downtown Dubai, the city's modern centre.
One day is set aside for Abu Dhabi: the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and Louvre Abu Dhabi are on the programme.

Flight from Istanbul to Dubai; evening walk in Dubai Marina, hotel check-in.
Dubai city tour: Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, crossing the Creek by abra, the gold and spice souks; in the afternoon, the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Fountain. Optional desert safari in the evening.
Day trip to Abu Dhabi (about 1.5–2 hours): the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and Louvre Abu Dhabi; return to Dubai in the evening.

Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood
Dubai's restored old town; with its wind-tower (barjeel) buildings, galleries and museums, it shows the city's past. At nearby Dubai Creek you can cross to the other side in a traditional abra.
Dubai Creek and the abra crossing
The short crossing between the two banks of Dubai Creek in traditional wooden abras links Bur Dubai with the gold and spice souks in Deira. Dubai's official tourism site recommends it as one of the city's classic experiences.
Burj Khalifa and Downtown Dubai
From the observation decks of the Burj Khalifa you can take in views of the city and the desert. The Dubai Fountain shows and the Dubai Mall nearby are the main parts of the tours' evening programme.
Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque
This mosque in Abu Dhabi bears the name of Sheikh Zayed, founder of the UAE, and is a large mosque open to visitors. A modest dress code applies for visits.
Louvre Abu Dhabi
The museum on Saadiyat Island is a universal art museum opened under an agreement with the Louvre in Paris. It is the main stop on Abu Dhabi's cultural tours.
